About Me

As the mother of a child who wrestled with reading difficulties, I understand first hand the overwhelming fear one can sometimes feel when first faced with the reality of this difficulty. However, as a Practitioner, I also understand the creativity and unique strengths of those with dyslexia and work hard to help my students recognize their strengths and to overcome their challenges.

Paulette Carrieri

Certified Wilson Dyslexia Practitioner

Dyslexia Tutor for Children

As a Certified Wilson Dyslexia Practitioner, I offer private, individually tailored, one-on-one, online tutoring sessions using the structured literacy method. Structured literacy is an effective, scientifically proven method of teaching people with dyslexia to read. It focuses on the systematic teaching of phonological awareness, the use of phonics to decode and encode, word recognition, morphology, and syntax.

Over the years, I have successfully taught numerous children to read through the use of this method.

Dyslexia does not need to define who they are. In fact, once reading, most children experience increased self-esteem and learn to thrive, not in spite of their dyslexia, but because of it.

Your are Not Alone

As a mom, and a former homeschooler, I understand the fear one experiences when they realize their child can’t read.
Once you know the problem you can then find solutions.

See What Parents Have to Say…

My daughter made more progress with you than she did going to the Hill Center, and that was a very expensive program.  She would have made more progress if we had just had her continue working with you over the summer.

Thank you so much for being so kind and patient with our son.  We can’t tell you how much we appreciate you.
